The purpose of this eight-week Mindfulness-Based Living Course is to introduce the central practices and attitudes of mindfulness. Mindfulness is best understood as the capacity that enables people to focus on what they experience in the moment, inside themselves as well as in their environment, with an attitude of openness, curiosity and kindness (Kabat-Zinn, 2005). Over 4000 scholarly articles on Mindfulness provide overwhelming evidence that it produces health and social benefits for those who practice it (Black et al, 2015).
Practicing mindfulness can help you manage your daily life in a way that promotes well-being in yourself and the people you work with and care.
